Did you notice that because of the sin of the people they not only, as we have learned, infected the nation, but they defile the land itself? There has been much said about territorial spirits, dominions and warfare, and some people have scoffed at this idea. Isaiah illustrates it in chapter 24 as says that the earth has a curse because of the people’s sin. Am I saying that things could have a curse? Yes!!

Someone was just telling me that they had some people staying at their house while they were gone and they sensed that the “spiritual atmosphere” wasn’t right. In other words demonic spirits had invaded. This is a curse on the house. It is not that the house will wither and die, but a spiritual dominion has been gained on the house. (The same applies to cities, parks, regions, etc…) We have the ability, because we are rulers with Christ, to purify these demonic spirits and usher in the rulership of God Almighty. This is done through dedication, prayer, warfare and worship. What speaks to me is that I must take the territory for the Lord. It just doesn’t come as a by-product of my wonderful presence. I have to be vigilant about maintaining God’s dominion in the places that I rule, (my house, the church, my car…). Don’t you ever think, “man this thing/place is cursed”? Maybe it is and you need to take dominion. Dedicate it to the Lord, repent of whatever action brought their dominion and pray for God to cleanse it, then you tell the spirits to leave and renounce their affect on the thing/place and start praising Jesus – aloud!
