July 20

When I read the first few verses of Isa. 60 I thought of that Carman song, “Jesus is the light, Jesus is the light, Jesus is the light of the world…” There is no doubt to that fact, yet there is another fact – I am the light! I have Jesus in me and have become a light to the world. People will be drawn to me if I “Arise, shine, for my light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon me.” (I changed the pronouns). There is something for me to do, arise and shine – did you get that? I have the light, in fact I am the light, but it is my call to arise and shine. I can suppress the light and hold back the glory or I can draw men to Christ in me as well, it is my choice – again. Isn’t that like most of my Christian life, God supplies – amply supplies, and I manage the supply.

As I was reading a second time today, it said that kings would come. There are few kings of this earth that I am privileged to minister to. (By kings I mean men who direct the affairs of cities, counties, states, corporations…). I believe that in my latter years, more and more kings will come to me for ministry. Make me beam with your light and glory Lord, as one who has no filter.
