Isaiah 30:15
15 For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.” But you were not willing… When I am facing giants, tough things, uncertainty and a lack of supply, my first response is usually a cry out to God for help. Too often I am then faced with the “geterdone” attitude within my being. It is that wonderful gift of geterdone that has helped me get over many hills that now must be squashed. It can’t be obeyed! My salvation, both my soul and eternity and my particular circumstance comes from, repentance (changing the way I think), rest (a absence of movement), remaining quiet and trusting in God. Many people don’t have the problem of stopping and waiting for God to help. In fact they seem to always be waiting for God to do something while they do nothing – not even trusting. For me the significance of trusting is most often found in rest and a lack of me trying to “geterdone”.
